The worlds 1st official Waacking House
A legendary dance form from the 70's makes its way back into the spot light. This is your chance to be a part of a continued history in the making as the children of this dance style make it into its own culture. Join The Imperial House Of Waacking as we take you on a journey of style, flavor and the fashion of today's waacking craze with the proper guidance from the overall mother and father of the house. Most commonly known for the legacy they brought us from the original waack dance group "The Outrageous Waack Dancers," and "Soul Train," we are honored to announce the legendary Tyrone (the bone) Proctor, and Jody Watley as our mother and father. Your best simply wont do! I.H.O.W. | Lockerooo-Asia Tour

Fred and Ginger would have been so proud.About 250 people danced the night away on the steps of Columbia University’s Low Library on Thursday evening.People chasséd, plied and shook their booty to the sounds of live drums and recorded music ranging from club music to The Boys’ Choir of Harlem for Columbia’s fourth annual ‘Shall We Dance?’, a free public event.Nearly all of the crowd stayed to learn Waacking. Instructor Aus Spottedeagle, Ceo of Imperial House Production's and Co-Founder of The Imperial House of Waacking, showed the crowd dance moves that evolved from the early 70's club style "Waacking/Vogue".Lamar Lovelace, project coordinator for the event, said, Columbia wanted to promote dance because it’s fun and educational. “Dance is a wonderful performing art. It leads you to dive in to cultures in a unique way.”He said that the in first year the event had a film and just a little bit of dance. “We saw that people wanted more dance, so we did away with the film.”The happy and glowing faces of the crowd confirmed he was correct.
